A: Mail.ru (in Russian) is a free mail service in Russia. They introduced their own Instant Messaging system, like ICQ, Jabber or alike. And, of course, they released a free downloadable win32 client for that system. It is called Mail.ru Agent (also in Russian). I serfed through the web and found no such an Agent for Linux. Well, I decided to write it because I have a little of time for it and some of skills. Q: Do you work for Mail.ru? A: No, I don't. This project is started due to availability of open protocol (again in Russian) of Mail.Ru Agent communication protocol, thanks to Mail.Ru. Q: Who are you? A: My name is Vladimir Lebedev-Schmidthof, also known as Dair. I reside in St.Petersburg, Russia, work as Software Developer. You can look to my really empty homepage and search through my Blog (in Russian, sorry). Vladimir "Dair" Lebedev-Schmidthof, Dec 2006
